Check the source of an asset before relying on it in an advertisement, paid course or other commercial video. A Gling subscription does not by itself clear third-party copyright, trademarks, likenesses or music rights.
Stock photos and videos
The current stock photo/video search uses Pexels. Its license permits personal and commercial projects and allows editing without requiring attribution.
Restrictions still apply. Do not redistribute an unchanged stock asset as a competing stock product, imply endorsement by a depicted person or brand, or use the asset as a trademark. Identifiable people must not be presented offensively. Depicted brands or other protected material may require additional permission. Review Pexels' commercial-use guidance for your use.
Using a stock clip within your original instructional video differs from reselling the raw stock clip. Keep a record of the source and applicable license.
Your uploads and GIFs
For a file you upload, make sure you have permission to use it in the intended project. An asset found through a GIF search does not automatically have the Pexels stock license. Check the original provider and rights for that asset.
AI-generated assets
AI-generated clips are separate from Pexels stock. Do not apply the Pexels license to them or assume that generated output is exclusive, copyright-free or cleared for every use.
For a commercial-use question about a generated asset, contact support with the asset or project reference, how it was generated and the intended use. Ask for the terms that apply to that specific output. The Gling terms still require respect for other people's rights.
