First identify where the problem occurs. A silent source, a muted playback device and an export problem need different checks.
Check the original recording
Play the original outside Gling. Confirm that the expected microphone is audible, including at the timestamp where the problem starts. For a separate microphone or multiple cameras, check which track supplies the speech in your project.
If the Gling preview is silent
- Check your computer's output device and volume. Check whether the browser tab is muted.
- Play a different part of the project and compare it with the original.
- Check whether the affected speech was cut. Turn on Show cuts and restore the section if needed.
If enhancement changes the sound
Compare a short sample with and without Enhance audio when preparing a test project. Listen for altered words, background artifacts or unnatural transitions. Preserve the original so you can compare the same section.

If only the export sounds wrong
Open the exported file in another player. For an editor handoff, check the destination's audio tracks, mute state and media links. An audio-only Gling export uses WAV.
Send a useful example
Include the project name, Gling version, web browser or desktop platform, approximate timestamp and whether the issue affects the original, preview, export or destination editor. Describe whether the sound is missing, distorted, delayed or coming from the wrong microphone.
Distinguish a preview defect from the edit
If a word start sounds clipped or unusually loud, replay the same timestamp and compare a short export with the original. Tell support whether the problem repeats in Gling, the saved file, or only the destination editor. For freezing alongside the sound problem, use performance troubleshooting.
