Your export is stuck or fails

Separate export progress, saving and playback problems before retrying.

Record the export choice, progress message and any error. Keep the project and original source files.

The export progress stops

Check that your computer remains awake and connected. For a desktop export, check free space in the destination and that the folder is writable. Record whether the same percentage or stage persists.

Before starting another export, check whether the first attempt is still active. Repeated attempts can make it harder to identify the original failure.

The export finishes but you cannot find the file

Check the destination you chose. On the web, check the browser's downloads list and whether the browser blocked saving. Confirm that the saved file has a plausible size and can open before assuming the export succeeded.

The saved file will not play correctly

Try another player and compare the same timestamp with the Gling preview. For an XML or FCPXML handoff, use the destination editor's import command and keep the source media and companion files available. These timeline files are not standalone video files.

Send support the failing stage

Include your account email, project name, Gling version and platform, export format, chosen destination and exact error. Say whether the failure happened while rendering, saving, downloading, playing the result or importing it into another editor. Include a timestamp for a visible or audible mismatch.

For a color difference, use the color troubleshooting guide. For sound problems, use the audio checks.

Check the destination and storage

For a CapCut project that does not appear, use the CapCut workflow. For output size and frame-rate questions, see MP4 settings. If the error reports insufficient space, review local storage without deleting active project data.
