Understand supported workflows and feature limits

Check separate-project batch work, API access, stable and beta differences, spoken-content editing and finishing in another app.

Gling is designed to create and refine an edit from spoken recordings. Check the workflow you need before processing a large set of media or moving from an older beta tutorial.

Multiple files and separate projects

Adding several recordings in one import arranges them inside one project. It is not a bulk command that creates a separate finished video for each file. For independent videos, create separate projects.

The regular editor does not offer a public supported API or a batch-editing workflow across independent projects. If that is essential to your setup, contact support before subscribing for that purpose.

Spoken content, scripts and playback speed

Gling transcribes and edits intelligible speech. Music-only, singing-only or silent recordings may not produce a useful spoken transcript. The script option supplies speech-recognition hints; it does not replace the timed transcript or translate the video. See language and transcription.

The speed selector in the player changes review playback. It is not a setting that makes the exported video run faster or slower. For a finished speed change, use an external editor after exporting.

Graphics, music and finishing

Use prepared image overlays for a logo or independent headline, and caption controls for subtitles. The regular editor's transcript Add menu does not provide the same free-form text, music and sound-effect tools shown in some old experimental beta tutorials.

For dedicated music tracks, detailed color grading, complex titles or other finishing controls you cannot find in the regular editor, continue in your preferred editor. Choose between a finished MP4 and an editable timeline according to what you need to preserve.

If a feature is missing

Check web versus desktop, your account's plan and the version you are running. Some features also use gradual account rollouts. A newer version number alone does not prove that every experimental option has been enabled for your account.

Send support the task you want to complete, your platform/version and a screenshot or link to the tutorial showing the expected control. Avoid installing an old beta or clearing project data solely to make a missing button appear.
